We climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden in
Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising website!
We are raising money for Sue Ryder’s Leckhampton Court Hospice (in Cheltenham) after witnessing first hand the incredible medical care and emotional support they not only offer to their patients but to their patients families and loved ones too.
My Mum Ingrid ( previously Mustoe, nee Webb ) sadly passed away in February 2017 after a long battle with Cancer. She had several stays at Leckhampton Court and I can honestly say that the care that was given in her last few days of life was incredible, she always said that she was happy there and I can see why. Each and every member of staff is lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
Leckhampton Court did so much for my mum and looked after her with every ounce of care that she deserved… now we feel it’s our time to give something back to them so that other families can benefit as we did, to think that we can give another daughter or son the chance to say their last goodbyes in such a caring and special place is one of the reasons we have taken on this challenge. Leckhampton Court rely on the generosity of people like you and I to help raise over £2 million needed each year to ensure that they can continue to provide specialist palliative and end of life care to the people of Gloucestershire.
The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours! As we are now tackling them as a family ( and with our youngest adventurer being 11 ) we have decided to take it on over three days – It’s physically demanding and considered one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges. On the 6th of August 2018 we travel ‘up north’ to take on the heights of Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales. During the three days we will walk ( possibly crawl ) just over 26 miles and ascend to a total height of almost 10,000 ft… driving over 1100 miles! Zoiks!
We recently hit the half way barrier!
We are so happy to have hit the half way barrier, but realise we still have an uphill climb ahead of us… If you think you can spare five minutes to have a look through our auction of promises and have a cheeky bid, that would really help our cause.
You can also donate through our JustGiving fundraising page too – it’s simple, fast and totally secure, your details are safe and they’ll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails.
Finally, a massive thank you to all of our charitable donors, so nice to have met some lovely local people and businesses with heartwarming stories of their own too. Your generosity is massively appreciated, you really will help to make a difference.
Thank you so much x
